Terms
Terms of use
Last updated 17 October 2026
In short: Tap In provides tickets, passes and the tools to check them at the gate. The organiser runs the event and decides who gets in. Tap In is still in development, ticket checkout is a demo and no real payments are taken.
About these terms
These terms apply when you use the Tap In website, app, organiser console, Tap In for Business or gate scanner. By using them you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. Tap In is run by Tap In (“we”, “us”); contact us at hello@tap-in.world.
A service in development
- Ticket checkout is a demo: no money is taken and no payment is processed.
- In demo mode, sign-in codes are shown on screen instead of being sent to you.
- Features may change, pause or be removed while we build Tap In. We will try to give notice of changes that affect events already on sale.
Your account
- Sign in with a phone number or email that is yours, and keep the device you use secure.
- A ticket or pass belongs to the person who holds it. Do not share, copy or sell passes, or try to get in with someone else’s.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Tickets and entry
- Tickets are issued for events run by organisers, not by Tap In. The organiser is responsible for the event itself, its entry rules, age limits, changes, cancellations and refunds.
- A pass can be refused at the gate if it was already used, has been cancelled, is for a different area, is outside its allowed hours, or does not match the holder’s photo where one is required.
- Keep your phone charged and, for events that use a live code, connected to the internet when you arrive.
Organisers and businesses
- You are responsible for your events or offices, the information on your sales pages, and how you treat your guests, staff and visitors.
- Only add people’s phone numbers or emails when you have a good reason, such as the person asking for a ticket or working for you, and use their data lawfully.
- If you require a photo check, tell people why before they arrive, and do not use photos for anything else.
- Keep gate keys secret and give them only to your own staff. Anyone with a gate key can scan passes for your event.
- Tap In for Business is check-in software. It does not control locks, turnstiles or other door hardware.
Acceptable use
Do not make or use fake or copied tickets, try to get around limits or security checks, access accounts or data that are not yours, overload or disrupt the service, or use Tap In for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts or events that do.
Our responsibility
We work to keep Tap In available and accurate, but during development it is provided as it is, without guarantees that it will always work or be error-free. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, or for losses caused by an event, an organiser, a gate decision, or a phone or network that does not work. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be limited by law.
Ending use
You can stop using Tap In at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may close accounts that break these terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Changes
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app.
